This should do it

December 9, 2010
Well, it's the end of the day and I have settled on this layout. It's a bit boring, but it's clean and does the job. I'll figure out the popular posts later. I have edemame to eat.

This darn layout!

So I wanted a blog that was customizable. Well I got this one that is taking forever for little ol me to figure out. Crimany.

A blog about movies, anatomy...

But but but

You can't edit wordpress layouts like you can blogger... But wordpress themes are basically more professional looking... AH!

heartcinema.com

Maybe I can just convert heartcinema.com into just my site. Forget only the movie stuff, that's boring. And not interesting most of the time. So I'll try and convert into one site. This having two things to update is ridiculous, I hardly update one of them.

Readjustments

I'm tweaking with the layout again, and possibly putting some half done posts on here. I've had a long haitus, it may possibly continue but for now i'm just working on here again.

Be Bold.

June 14, 2010
I was reading some "Success Strategies" and such after class today and I came upon this quote:
"Don't be afraid to be considered pushy or a know-it-all in class. If you're unclear about something, speak up. If you know the answer to a question, speak up. If you don't, you're only selling yourself short. The meek may inherit the earth, but the bold dominate it now."
I guess that makes sense. I just liked the bolded quote.
Maintaining a good diet and exercising regularly might seem routine, but they are often the first things to slide when you are emotionally drained. You have to take care of yourself before you can effectively take care of others, so don't let the comforts of a regular routine slip away from you.

My nursing school freakout #2

So I freaked out about nursing school, again. My first freakout being a few posts ago. So naturally I searched the web for comfort; and found it! (here)
Admission Success Step One. First, if you haven’t already done so, make a thorough examination of yourself as to whether you really do want to get into nursing school and become a nurse. Do you know what becoming a nurse entails? Spend a few days, or longer, doing this self examination. Just make sure that becoming a nurse is really what you want to do. The following may sound cliché to you, but it is very true: so many people just rush into nursing school just because everyone else is and because they do not know of what else is out there. So do take a little time out of your busy schedule to reflect if this is what you would like to do for the rest of your life. There is nothing wrong about being a nurse. You may really like it. Just make sure that your temperament and personality fit this type of job and that you know what a typical day of being a nurse is like.
More article, more article, more article...
In conclusion: If nursing school and becoming a nurse are really what you want, go for it! Don’t be afraid of the competition because often, people say they want to go into nursing school and succeed in it, but do not really expend the time necessary to get in or excel once they get in. On the other hand, you will be prepared because you have made up your mind to do the best you can. Do not be deterred of all the other keen students applying because there will always be spot for the determined.
My fear is gpa. I learned to get over it in high school. I didn't have to get a 4.0 to succeed, above a 3.5 was good enough. But with 4.0 nursing applicants being turned away I am feeling the worst pressure ever. *big breathe* *pause* It's what I want to do so there will be a spot for me. I am determined.

Four more years...

July 6, 2009
So I was finally able to speak with an adviser from the nursing school I could attend. I have at least four more years of hard college ahead. Having all of that work laid out in front of me is tiring. Or it could be that I got up at 4:30 this morning. Either way, it's what I make of it right? Well it will be work, but if I do it right all that work will pay off majorly. The point of this is to work hard now, so I don't have to work hard later. I have hope. Wait that's Katara's line. I am determined. I was called that once. It has to be true. Determination = eventually good results.

Hello World!

So this is my Hello World! post. It's the first screen seen after creating a blog on blogger.

I don't have a thought out plan for this blog, just that I want a place to post stuff that doesn't have to be correct or thought out. Appropriate yes?

Yay

That's me! Kris.
